  • Ontology connects fragmented military data to help AI understand battlefield context and support decision-making
  • Data platform, ontology, and digital twin technologies demonstrate the potential of AI transformation in defense operations

Enhans, an enterprise agentic AI company, showcased an ontology-powered AI operational decision support system in collaboration with SK Telecom.

Enhans announced on Oct. 6 that it presented the AI-powered defense decision support system together with SK Telecom and TechTree Innovation at the 2026 Republic of Korea Army Ground Forces Festival, held from Oct. 1 to 5 at the Gyeryongdae runway in Gyeryong, South Korea.

Hosted by the Republic of Korea Army Headquarters, the Ground Forces Festival is a major military event showcasing the present and future of the Army through advanced technologies. SK Telecom participated in the event’s policy exhibition hall as a private-sector company, presenting future defense technologies powered by AI and communications.

The AI operational decision support system combines a data platform that connects diverse military data, an ontology that structures the meaning and relationships across that data, and a digital twin that recreates battlefield environments in a virtual space. Together, these technologies are designed to support commanders in situational awareness and tactical decision-making.

Enhans provided the ontology technology that connects military information distributed across different systems and datasets within a common semantic structure. By structuring relationships among equipment, personnel, locations, missions, and operational situations, the ontology enables AI to move beyond retrieving individual pieces of information and understand how data relates within the broader operational context.

Future battlefields will continuously generate large volumes of data from drones, robots, sensors, equipment, and other systems. When that data is distributed across separate systems or managed under different standards, however, quickly bringing together the information required for situational assessment and decision-making becomes challenging.

Enhans’ ontology technology connects this data through Objects, Links, and unstructured Knowledge, providing the foundation for AI to understand the context required to interpret battlefield situations.

The demonstration combined SK Telecom’s data platform, Enhans’ ontology technology, and TechTree Innovation’s digital twin technology to show an end-to-end process spanning data collection and integration, battlefield visualization, and decision support.

Enhans provides AgentOS, an enterprise AI operating system that connects fragmented enterprise data and operational knowledge through ontology, enabling AI agents to understand and perform real-world business processes. The company is expanding the application of AI across industries with complex data and operational environments, including manufacturing, energy, and financial services.

Through this collaboration, Enhans demonstrated how ontology-powered AI can extend beyond enterprise and industrial environments into defense, connecting complex data and operational situations to support human decision-making.

“In defense environments, where large volumes of information emerge simultaneously and decisions must be made quickly, AI needs to understand not only individual data points but also the relationships and operational context behind them,” said Seunghyun Lee, CEO of Enhans. “With our ontology and AgentOS technologies, we will continue to build the foundation for AI to understand complex operational environments and support real-world decision-making.”
